Manchester City and Middlesbrough are thought to be two of the clubs chasing Swedish winger Christian Wilhelmsson.

It is thought that he has been made available for around £2million after French outfit Nantes were relegated from Ligue 1.

He spent most of last season on loan at Roma, who are said to have pulled out of a permanent deal.  Wilhemsson’s agent has revealed tha there are four clubs who are in pursuit of the winger, three of which are from the Premeirship.

“We are talking to four clubs right now,” His agent Fabio Alho told Sportbladet.

“Three of them are in the Premier League.”
